Setting Up an IP Address Safelist

Verify the "IP address Safelist" to allow communication between the kiosk and Time and Attendance

We do not require your IP addresses for anything from the hardware side. These are IP addresses you want to add to your "IP Address Safelist" within your Frontline Time & Attendance account. If you are an administrator on the account, you can make the changes by navigating to Configure>IP Address Safelist, and then adding those "safe" IP addresses/range to that list.

You can manage approved computer IP Addresses to restrict where employees can clock in or out. To enable this feature, and allow the system to prevent clock entries from IP Addresses not on the safelist, you first need to visit "Configure" > "General Settings" and select the Enforce kiosk IP blocking check box.

Review the Configuring Time Events in General Settings article for more information about configuring this setting.

Configure > System Setup > IP Address Safelist

Next, click the green Create IP Address Range button to create a new address.

In the subsequent window, provide a name. Then, put your external IP address in the “From IP” and “To IP” boxes. (If you do not know what the external IP address is, contact your IT department for assistance). Next, check the “Access Kiosk” Permission box. Finally, click Create Range.

Setting up an approved IP address range will prevent employees from clocking in or out via a web clock, whether through a kiosk or on their own portals (if they have that permission), at any location other than the locations specified by the IP address range you’ve entered.

If you are not an administrator on the account, and you are not able to locate one at your
district, reach out to Support@Frontlineed.com for assistance to add those IP addresses to the safelist on your account.
