Battery Low or not Charging
Note: The Timeclock Lite model has an internal battery but the Timeclock Standards do not.
If your Lite model SmartClock does not show the charging icon as displayed below and...
You are powering the device via the AC power cord:
Step 1: Verify that the AC power cord is plugged in to the correct port on the SmartClock, and that the wall plug is firmly seated into the brick part of the charger.
Step 2: If the device still will not charge, allow the battery to drain overnight. In the morning when the battery is completely dead plug it back in. This will recalibrate the battery.
Step 3: If this does not resolve the issue, please contact Touchpoint Support.
You are powering the device via PoE:
Step 1: Try charging it with the AC power adapter in a known working outlet, following the steps above.
Step 2: If the device charges with the AC power adapter, the next step would be to troubleshoot the PoE setup.
Step 3: If you are using your own PoE switch, set the port going to the device on your PoE Switch to a static 25w of power output.
Step 4: If that does not work, use the single line injector provided with your SmartClock.
Step 5: If using the single line injector does not charge the device, contact Touchpoint Support.
